Penticton, British Columbia is one of the two larger communities in the Okanagan Valley. The city population is 33,000 and with Greater penticton area is 41,000.The city is wedged in between two large popular recreational lakes that are very popular destinations during the late spring, summer and early fall for beach combing and water sports.

The winter months turns Penticton alpie mountains and mid mountain slopes into top notch winter destinations for snowmobiling, alpine skiing, snow shoeing, snow boarding, and cross country skiing. The region is a mecca for ski hills with 5 ski hills in the immediate central and northern Okanagan Valley area with Apex Mountain as the nearest ski mountain to Penticton.
